And indeed Nooh prayed to Us – so what an excellent Acceptor of Prayer We are! 75 And We rescued him and his household from the great calamity. 76 And his offspring! them We made the survivors. 77 And We left for him among the posterity. 78 'Peace be upon Noah among all the worlds' 79 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 80 Surely he was one of Our truly believing servants. 81 Then We drowned the others 82 ۞ Of his party was Abraham. 83 when he turned to his Sustainer with a heart free of evil, 84 When he said to his father and his people: What is it that you worship? 85 It is falsehood that you desire gods other than Allah! 86 What do you think of the Lord of the Worlds?" 87 Then he looked up at the stars (they worshipped), 88 and he said, 'Surely I am sick.' 89 But they went away from him, turning their backs. 90 Then he turned aside to their gods secretly and said: What! do you not eat? 91 What is the matter with you that you do not speak?" 92 He struck them with his right hand. 93 Thereafter they (the people) came to him in haste. 94 He said, 'Do you serve what you hew, 95 "While Allah has created you and what you make!" 96 They said, “Construct a building (furnace) for him, and then cast him in the blazing fire!” 97 Their desire was to outwit him, but We made them to be the humiliated. 98 And he said: Lo! I am going unto my Lord Who will guide me. 99 “My Lord! Give me a meritorious child.” 100 So We gave him the good news of a clement son. 101 Then, when (the son) reached (the age of) (serious) work with him, he said: "O my son! I see in vision that I offer thee in sacrifice: Now see what is thy view!" (The son) said: "O my father! Do as thou art commanded: thou will find me, if Allah so wills one practising Patience and Constancy!" 102 When they had surrendered, and he flung him upon his brow, 103 We called out to him "O Abraham! 104 thou hast already fulfilled [the purpose of] that dream-vision!" Thus, verily, do We reward the doers of good: 105 Indeed this was a clear test. 106 Then We ransomed him with a tremendous victim. 107 and We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon him in the latter (generations), 108 Peace be unto Abraham! 109 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 110 He was one of Our believing worshipers. 111 And we gave him tidings of the birth of Isaac, a prophet of the righteous. 112 And We showered Our blessings on him and on Ishaq; and of their offspring are the doers of good, and (also) those who are clearly unjust to their own souls. 113
