3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And indeed, [it was for this reason that] Noah cried unto Us - and how excellent was Our response: 75 We delivered him and his household from the great calamity; 76 and We made his offspring the only survivors. 77 And left (his name) for posterity. 78 Peace be unto Noah among the peoples! 79 Verily, thus We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 80 He was one of Our believing servants. 81 We drowned all the others (besides Noah and his people). 82 ۞ And Abraham indeed was of his inducement, 83 When he came unto his Lord with a whole heart; 84 and [thus] spoke to his father and his people: "What is it that you worship? 85 “What! You desire, through fabrication, Gods other than Allah?” 86 What is then your idea about the Lord of the worlds? 87 He looked up at the stars. 88 and said, "I am sick!" 89 All the people turned away from him 90 Then he turned to their gods, and said: 'What do you eat? 91 Why do you not speak?" 92 And then he fell upon them, smiting them with his right hand. 93 So they (people) advanced towards him, hastening. 94 "Why do you worship these you carve yourselves," he asked, 95 When Allah hath created you and what ye make? 96 They said, "Build him a furnace, and throw him into the blazing fire!" 97 And they designed a snare for him, but We made them the undermost. 98 He said: "I will go to my Lord! He will surely guide me! 99 "O my Lord! Grant me a righteous (son)!" 100 Wherefore We gave him the glad tidings of a boy gentle. 101 And when he became capable of working with him, Ibrahim said, “O my son, I dreamt that I am sacrificing you therefore now consider what is your opinion”; he said, “O my father! Do what you are commanded! Allah willing, you will soon find me patiently enduring!” 102 Then, when they had both surrendered (to Allah), and he had flung him down upon his face, 103 And We called out to him: "O Abraham! 104 You have fulfilled the dream (vision)!" Verily! Thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 105 Most surely this is a manifest trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 And left (his hallowed memory) for posterity. 108 Peace be on Abraham. 109 That is how We reward those who do good. 110 he was among Our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the good news of Ishaq, a prophet among the good ones. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. Among the offspring of the two some did good and some plainly wronged themselves. 113

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
