Noah called to Us; and how excellent were the Answerers! 75 for We saved him and his household from that awesome calamity, 76 and We made his offspring the survivors. 77 And We left for him among the posterity. 78 'Peace be upon Noah among all beings!' 79 Thus indeed do we reward those who do right. 80 Lo! he is one of Our believing slaves. 81 Then We drowned the other (disbelievers and polytheists, etc.). 82 ۞ Verily among those who followed his Way was Abraham. 83 he came to his Lord with a sound heart. 84 When he said to his father and his people: "What is this you worship? 85 Is it a falsehood - gods beside Allah - that ye desire? 86 What is then your idea about the Lord of the worlds? 87 Then he cast a glance at the stars (to deceive them), 88 and said, "Verily, I am sick [at heart]!" 89 And they turned their backs on him and went away. (The pagans thought he would transmit the disease). 90 Thereupon he approached their gods stealthily and said, "What! You do not eat [of the offerings placed before you]? 91 What is the matter with you, why do you not speak?” 92 Then he turned upon them, striking them with his right hand, 93 And (his people) came toward him, hastening. 94 He said: 'Do you worship what you, yourselves have carved 95 When Allah hath created you and what ye make? 96 They said, “Construct a building (furnace) for him, and then cast him in the blazing fire!” 97 So they plotted a plot against him, but We made them the lowest. 98 (Abraham) said, "I will go to my Lord who will guide me". 99 Lord, grant me a righteous son.” 100 Then We gave him the good tidings of a prudent boy; 101 And when he became capable of working with him, Ibrahim said, “O my son, I dreamt that I am sacrificing you – therefore now consider what is your opinion”; he said, “O my father! Do what you are commanded! Allah willing, you will soon find me patiently enduring!” 102 But as soon as the two had surrendered themselves to [what they thought to be] the will of God, and [Abraham] had laid him down on his face, 103 We called to him, "O Abraham, 104 you have indeed fulfilled your dream. Thus do We reward the good-doers.” 105 This is indeed the manifest trial.' 106 We ransomed him with a great sacrifice, 107 and We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon him in the latter (generations), 108 Peace be on Ibrahim. 109 Thus, do We reward the righteous ones. 110 truly, he was one of Our faithful servants. 111 And We gave him the good news of Ishaq, a prophet among the good ones. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. And of their seed are some who do good, and some who plainly wrong themselves. 113
