(In the days of old), Noah cried to Us, and We are the best to hear prayer. 75 We rescued him and his people from the greatest affliction 76 and made his offspring the only ones to survive, 77 We left mention of him among later generations. 78 "Peace upon Noah among the worlds." 79 Verily, thus do We reward the doers of good 80 Verily, he [Nuh (Noah)] was one of Our believing slaves. 81 Then We drowned the others. 82 ۞ And Abraham indeed was of his inducement, 83 When he came to his Lord, with a sound heart. (Free from falsehood). 84 Recall what time he said unto his father and his people: What is it that ye worship? 85 It is falsehood that you desire gods other than Allah! 86 What is then your idea about the Lord of the worlds? 87 And he glanced a glance at the stars 88 and said, "I am sick!" 89 All the people turned away from him 90 Thereupon he approached their gods stealthily and said, "What! You do not eat [of the offerings placed before you]? 91 “What is the matter with you, that you do not say anything?” 92 Then he turned upon them, striking (them) with (his) right hand. 93 [But] then the others came towards him hurriedly [and accused him of his deed]. 94 He said, “What! You worship what you yourselves have sculpted?” 95 while it is Allah Who has created you and all that you make?” 96 They said, "Construct for him a furnace and throw him into the burning fire." 97 (This failing), they then sought a stratagem against him, but We made them the ones most humiliated! 98 He said: "I will go to my Lord! He will surely guide me! 99 “My Lord! Give me a meritorious child.” 100 We gave him the glad news of the birth of a forbearing son. 101 And when he became capable of working with him, Ibrahim said, “O my son, I dreamt that I am sacrificing you – therefore now consider what is your opinion”; he said, “O my father! Do what you are commanded! Allah willing, you will soon find me patiently enduring!” 102 When they had both submitted to God, and he had laid his son down on his face, 103 We cried unto him: O Ibrahim 104 you have fulfilled the dream." It is thus indeed that We reward those who do good, 105 Verily that! that was a trial manifest. 106 And We ransomed him with a Feat sacrifice. 107 and perpetuated his praise in later generations. 108 Peace be unto Ibrahim: 109 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 110 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 111 We gave him the glad news of the birth of Isaac, one of the righteous Prophets. 112 And We blessed him, and Isaac; and of their seed some are good-doers, and some manifest self-wrongers. 113
