3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And Noah had certainly called Us, and [We are] the best of responders. 75 And We saved him and his family from the great affliction. 76 And his offspring! them We made the survivors. 77 We left mention of him among later generations. 78 "Peace and salutation to Noah among the nations!" 79 Verily, thus We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 80 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 81 We drowned the rest. 82 ۞ And indeed Ibrahim is from his (Nooh’s) group. 83 When he came to his Lord with a sound heart 84 [And] when he said to his father and his people, "What do you worship? 85 Is it a calumny, gods apart from God, that you desire? 86 What then is your opinion of the Lord of the Worlds? 87 And he cast a look at the stars 88 and said: “I am sick.” 89 So they turned away from him, departing. 90 Then he slipped unto their gods and said: eat ye not? 91 What is the matter with you, that you do not speak' 92 Then he slipped unto them striking them with the right hand. 93 And (his people) came toward him, hastening. 94 He said: Worship ye that which ye yourselves do carve 95 "When God has created you and what you make?" 96 They said, "Let us build a fire and throw him into the flames". 97 And they designed a snare for him, but We made them the undermost. 98 And he said (after his rescue from the fire): "Verily, I am going to my Lord. He will guide me!" 99 Lord, grant me a righteous son.” 100 So We gave him good tidings of a forbearing boy. 101 And when (his son) was old enough to walk with him, (Abraham) said: O my dear son, I have seen in a dream that I must sacrifice thee. So look, what thinkest thou? He said: O my father! Do that which thou art commanded. Allah willing, thou shalt find me of the steadfast. 102 Then, when they had both submitted themselves (to the Will of Allah), and he had laid him prostrate on his forehead (or on the side of his forehead for slaughtering); 103 We called to him, "O Abraham, 104 you have indeed fulfilled your dream. Thus do We reward the good-doers.” 105 that surely was a manifest trial, 106 We ransomed him with a great sacrifice, 107 And We perpetuated (praise) to him among the later generations. 108 Peace be on Abraham. 109 Thus do We reward the good. 110 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 111 And We gave him the glad tidings of Is-haq, a prophet, and of the righteous. 112 We had blessed him and Isaac. Some of their offspring were righteous and others were openly unjust to themselves. 113
