And Noah had certainly called Us, and [We are] the best of responders. 75 And We delivered him and his people from the Great Calamity, 76 And made his seed the survivors, 77 And left (his name) for posterity. 78 Peace and salutation to Nuh among the nations. 79 As such We recompense the gooddoers, 80 he was among Our believing servants. 81 We then drowned the others. 82 ۞ And lo! of his persuasion verily was Abraham 83 Recall what time he came unto his Lord with a heart whole. 84 When he said unto his father and his folk: What is it that ye worship? 85 Do you want to worship false idols as your lords besides God? 86 What is then your idea about the Lord of the worlds? 87 And he cast a glance at the stars, 88 And he said: verily I am about to be sick. 89 But they turned their backs on him and went away. 90 He then sneaked upon their deities and said, “Do you not eat?” 91 What is [wrong] with you that you do not speak?" 92 then he turned on them, striking them down with his right hand. 93 His people came rushing towards him, 94 He said: "Worship ye that which ye have (yourselves) carved? 95 When Allah hath created you and what ye make? 96 They said, "Build a pyre for him and throw him into the blaze!" 97 They wanted to harm him, but We humiliated them all. 98 Abraham said: “I am going to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 [And he prayed:] "O my Sustainer! Bestow upon me the gift of [a son who shall be] one of the righteous!" 100 Wherefore We gave him the glad tidings of a boy gentle. 101 and when he had reached the age of running with him, he said, 'My son, I see in a dream that I shall sacrifice thee; consider, what thinkest thou?' He said, 'My father, do as thou art bidden; thou shalt find me, God willing, one of the steadfast.' 102 But as soon as the two had surrendered themselves to [what they thought to be] the will of God, and [Abraham] had laid him down on his face, 103 And We called out to him, “O Ibrahim!” 104 you have fulfilled what you were commanded to do in your dream." Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 105 That was indeed a trying test. 106 And We ransomed him with a momentous sacrifice: 107 And left (his hallowed memory) for posterity. 108 'Peace be upon Abraham' 109 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 110 He was one of Our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the good news of Ishaq, a prophet among the good ones. 112 and We blessed him and Isaac, and from their offspring are some gooddoers, and others who clearly wronged themselves. 113
