And Nuh did certainly call upon Us, and most excellent answerer of prayer are We. 75 And We delivered him and his followers from the mighty distress. 76 and made his offspring the only ones to survive, 77 And left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 78 Peace be upon Nooh, among the entire people. 79 As such We recompense the gooddoers, 80 He was one of Our believing servants. 81 Then afterwards We drowned the rest. 82 ۞ Abraham was one of his followers. 83 When he came to his Lord with a pure heart [attached to Allah Alone and none else, worshipping none but Allah Alone true Islamic Monotheism, pure from the filth of polytheism]. 84 and when he said to his father and to his nation: 'What do you worship? 85 "Is it a falsehood aliha (gods) other than Allah that you seek? 86 What do you think about the Lord of the Universe?" 87 Then he glanced a glance on the stars. 88 And said, "Indeed, I am [about to be] ill." 89 So they went away from him, turning back. 90 Then he turned aside to their gods secretly and said: What! do you not eat? 91 What is amiss with you that you do not speak?" 92 Then he turned upon them, striking (them) with (his) right hand. 93 Then the people came toward him, hastening. 94 He said, 'Do you serve what you hew, 95 "While Allah has created you and what you make!" 96 They said, "Construct for him a furnace and throw him into the burning fire." 97 And they desired a war against him, but We brought them low. 98 (Abraham) said, "I will go to my Lord who will guide me". 99 "My Lord! Grant me (offspring) from the righteous." 100 We therefore gave him the glad tidings of an intelligent son. 101 When he was old enough to go about with him, he said: "O my son, I dreamt that I was sacrificing you. Consider, what you think?" He replied: "Father, do as you are commanded. If God pleases you will find me firm." 102 So when they both submitted and he threw him down upon his forehead, 103 And We called out to him, “O Ibrahim!” 104 You have fulfilled the vision." Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 105 Lo! that verily was a clear test. 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty victim. 107 And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 108 Peace be with Abraham. 109 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 110 Lo! he is one of Our believing slaves. 111 And we gave him tidings of the birth of Isaac, a prophet of the righteous. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. And of their seed are some who do good, and some who plainly wrong themselves. 113
