3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And Noah verily prayed unto Us, and gracious was the Hearer of his prayer 75 And We delivered him and his people from the great affliction. 76 And, his progeny, them We made the survivors (i.e. Shem, Ham and Japheth). 77 And We left for him among the posterity. 78 "Peace upon Noah among the worlds." 79 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 80 Surely he was of Our believing servants. 81 Then We drowned the others. 82 ۞ And most surely Ibrahim followed his way. 83 (Remember when) he came to his Lord with a pure heart; 84 and said to his father and his people: “Whom do you worship? 85 "Is it a falsehood- gods other than Allah- that ye desire? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the Worlds?" 87 And he cast a look at the stars 88 And said: "I am sick (of what you worship)!" 89 But they turned their backs on him and went away. 90 Then he turned to their gods, and said: 'What do you eat? 91 What is amiss with you that you do not speak?" 92 And he turned upon them smiting them with his right hand. 93 So the people descended upon him. 94 Said he: What! do you worship what you hew out? 95 “Whereas Allah has created you and your actions?” 96 They spoke among themselves: “Build him a pyre and then throw him into the furnace.” 97 So they tried to execute their evil scheme upon him We therefore degraded them. (Allah saved him, by commanding the fire to turn cool). 98 Abraham said: “I am going to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 "My Lord! Grant me (offspring) from the righteous." 100 (In response to this prayer) We gave him the good news of a prudent boy; 101 and when he was old enough to go about and work with him, (one day) Abraham said to him: “My son, I see in my dream that I am slaughtering you. So consider (and tell me) what you think.” He said: “Do as you are bidden. You will find me, if Allah so wills, among the steadfast.” 102 When they submitted to the will of God, and (Abraham) laid (his son) down prostrate on his temple, 103 We called to him, "O Abraham, 104 thou hast confirmed the vision; even so We recompense the good-doers. 105 This was indeed a plain trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a tremendous sacrifice, 107 and left him thus to be remembered among later generations: 108 Peace be upon Ibrahim! 109 That is how We reward those who do good. 110 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the glad tidings of Is-haq, a prophet, and of the righteous. 112 And We blessed him and Is-haq; and of their offspring are some well-doers and some who wrong themselves manifestly. 113
