3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And Nuh did certainly call upon Us, and most excellent answerer of prayer are We. 75 for We saved him and his household from that awesome calamity, 76 and We made his offspring the only survivors. 77 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 78 Peace be on Nuh among the worlds. 79 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 80 Surely he was one of Our truly believing servants. 81 Afterwards We drowned the others. 82 ۞ Of his party was Abraham. 83 When he came to his Lord with a pure heart [attached to Allah Alone and none else, worshipping none but Allah Alone true Islamic Monotheism, pure from the filth of polytheism]. 84 Behold! he said to his father and to his people, "What is that which ye worship? 85 Is it false deities that you want to serve rather than Allah? 86 What do you think about the Lord of the Universe?" 87 Then he looked at the stars, looking up once, 88 Then said: Lo! I feel sick! 89 But they went away from him, turning their backs. 90 Then he turned to their gods, and said: 'What do you eat? 91 What is the matter with you that you do not speak? 92 And he turned upon them striking them with the right hand. 93 And (his people) came toward him, hastening. 94 He said: Worship ye that which ye yourselves do carve 95 While Allah created you and that which you do?" 96 They said, "Construct for him a furnace and throw him into the burning fire." 97 They had contrived an evil plan against him, but We abased them all. 98 He said: 'I will go to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 My Lord! Bestow on me a son who will be of the righteous. 100 So We gave him the good news of a boy, possessing forbearance. 101 And when he reached the age of traveling with him, he said: 'My son, while I was sleeping I saw that I shall slaughter (sacrifice) you, tell me what is your opinion' He replied: 'Father, do as you are ordered (by Allah). Allah willing, you shall find me one of those who are steadfast' 102 Then, when they had both surrendered (to Allah), and he had flung him down upon his face, 103 We called unto him, 'Abraham, 104 thou hast already fulfilled [the purpose of] that dream-vision!" Thus, verily, do We reward the doers of good: 105 for, behold, all this was indeed a trial, clear in itself. 106 And We ransomed him with a Feat sacrifice. 107 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 108 Peace be upon Ibrahim! 109 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 110 truly, he was one of Our faithful servants. 111 And [in time] We gave him the glad tiding of Isaac, [who, too, would be] a prophet, one of the righteous; 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. Among the offspring of the two some did good and some plainly wronged themselves. 113
