Al-Saaffaat 3 of 5
And Nuh did certainly call upon Us, and most excellent answerer of prayer are We. 75 And We rescued him and his family from the great distress (i.e. drowning), 76 and caused his offspring to endure [on earth]; 77 And left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations to come in later times: 78 Peace be upon Noah among all the nations. 79 Thus do We reward all those who do good. 80 Surely he was one of Our truly believing servants. 81 We drowned all the others (besides Noah and his people). 82 ۞ And indeed, among his kind was Abraham, 83 When he came to his Lord with a heart compliant, 84 [And] when he said to his father and his people, "What do you worship? 85 "Is it a falsehood- gods other than Allah- that ye desire? 86 "Then what do you think about the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns, and all that exists)?" 87 And he glanced a glance at the stars 88 and said: “I am sick.” 89 so they turned their backs on him and went off. 90 Then turned he to their gods and said: Will ye not eat? 91 What is wrong with you that you do not speak?" 92 Then did he turn upon them, striking (them) with the right hand. 93 Thereupon the people came running to him. 94 Abraham said to them: “Do you worship what you yourselves have carved with your own hands 95 While Allah created you and that which you do?" 96 They said: Build for him a building and fling him in the red-hotfire. 97 And they desired a war against him, but We brought them low. 98 And he said, “Indeed I shall go to my Lord Who will guide me.” 99 Lord, grant me a righteous son." 100 And We gave him the glad tidings of a very gentle son (Ishmael). 101 And when he attained to working with him, he said: O my son! surely I have seen in a dream that I should sacrifice you; consider then what you see. He said: O my father! do what you are commanded; if Allah please, you will find me of the patient ones. 102 So when they had both submitted their wills (to Allah), and he had laid him prostrate on his forehead (for sacrifice), 103 And We called out to him, “O Ibrahim!” 104 Of a surety thou hast fulfilled the vision. Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 105 That was indeed a clear trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 And We left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 108 Peace be unto Abraham! 109 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 110 Lo! he is one of Our believing slaves. 111 And We gave him the glad tidings of Is-haq, a prophet, and of the righteous. 112 and We blessed him and Isaac: but among the offspring of these two there were [destined] to be both doers of good and such as would glaringly sin against themselves. 113

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
