3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And indeed, [it was for this reason that] Noah cried unto Us - and how excellent was Our response: 75 And We saved him and his family from the great affliction. 76 and We made his offspring the survivors. 77 and left for him among the later folk 78 'Peace be upon Noah among all beings!' 79 Thus do We reward all those who do good. 80 he was among Our believing servants. 81 Afterwards We drowned the others. 82 ۞ And most surely Ibrahim followed his way. 83 When he came to his Lord with a free heart, 84 [And] when he said to his father and his people, "What do you worship? 85 “What! You desire, through fabrication, Gods other than Allah?” 86 Then what is your thought about the Lord of the worlds?" 87 Then he cast a glance at the stars (to deceive them), 88 and said: 'Surely, I am sick (of what you worship)' 89 All the people turned away from him 90 Then he turned to their gods, and said, 'What do you eat? 91 What aileth you that ye speak not? 92 Then he turned upon them, striking them with his right hand, 93 Then the people came toward him, hastening. 94 "Why do you worship these you carve yourselves," he asked, 95 when it is Allah who created you and all that you do' 96 They said, "Let us build a fire and throw him into the flames". 97 So they contrived a plot against him, but We made them abject. 98 And he said, “Indeed I shall go to my Lord Who will guide me.” 99 My Lord, give me one of the righteous.' 100 So We gave him the good news of a clement son. 101 And when he became capable of working with him, Ibrahim said, “O my son, I dreamt that I am sacrificing you therefore now consider what is your opinion”; he said, “O my father! Do what you are commanded! Allah willing, you will soon find me patiently enduring!” 102 When they both agreed and Abraham had lain down his son on the side of his face (for slaughtering), 103 And We called out to him: "O Abraham! 104 thou hast already fulfilled [the purpose of] that dream-vision!" Thus, verily, do We reward the doers of good: 105 This was indeed a plain trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a tremendous sacrifice, 107 and left for him among the later folk 108 Peace be upon Abraham. 109 Thus indeed do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 110 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 111 So We gave him the good news of Isaac, apostle, who is among the righteous. 112 We blessed him and Ishaque (Isaac), and of their progeny are (some) that do right, and some that plainly wrong themselves. 113
