Noah cried to Us, and how excellent was Our response! 75 And We rescued him and his household from the great calamity. 76 and We made his offspring the survivors. 77 and We established for him a good name among posterity. 78 Peace be with Noah among all men in the worlds. 79 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 80 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 81 Then We drowned the disbelievers. 82 ۞ Abraham was one of his followers. 83 he came to his Lord with a sound heart. 84 Recall what time he said unto his father and his people: What is it that ye worship? 85 "Is it a falsehood aliha (gods) other than Allah that you seek? 86 what, then, is your opinion of the Lord of the worlds? 87 Then he looked carefully at the stars 88 And he said: "Verily, I am sick (with plague. He did this trick to remain in their temple of idols to destroy them and not to accompany them to the pagan's feast)." 89 And they turned their backs and went away from him. 90 Then did he turn to their gods and said, "will ye not eat (of the offerings before you)?... 91 What is wrong with you that you do not speak?" 92 Then he turned against them secretly, smiting them with the right hand. 93 Then came (the worshippers) with hurried steps, and faced (him). 94 He said: 'Do you worship what you, yourselves have carved 95 “Whereas Allah has created you and your actions?” 96 They said, "Let us build a fire and throw him into the flames". 97 So they contrived a plot against him, but We made them abject. 98 And he said: verily I am going to my Lord who will guide me. 99 My Lord, grant me a righteous (son)' 100 We gave him the glad news of the birth of a forbearing son. 101 And when he became capable of working with him, Ibrahim said, “O my son, I dreamt that I am sacrificing you – therefore now consider what is your opinion”; he said, “O my father! Do what you are commanded! Allah willing, you will soon find me patiently enduring!” 102 Then, when they had both submitted themselves (to the Will of Allah), and he had laid him prostrate on his forehead (or on the side of his forehead for slaughtering); 103 We called out to him, "Abraham, 104 “You have indeed made the dream come true”; and this is how We reward the virtuous. 105 Most surely this is a manifest trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty victim. 107 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 108 Peace be upon Abraham. 109 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 110 truly, he was one of Our faithful servants. 111 And we gave him tidings of the birth of Isaac, a prophet of the righteous. 112 We blessed him and Ishaque (Isaac), and of their progeny are (some) that do right, and some that plainly wrong themselves. 113
