Noah had verily called to Us. And how gracious was He who answered (him). 75 And We delivered him and his people from the Great Calamity, 76 And, his progeny, them We made the survivors (i.e. Shem, Ham and Japheth). 77 And left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 78 Peace be upon Noah among all the nations. 79 This is how We reward the virtuous. 80 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 81 Afterwards We drowned the others. 82 ۞ And indeed, among his kind was Abraham, 83 he came to his Lord with a sound heart. 84 Behold! he said to his father and to his people, "What is that which ye worship? 85 A lie-- gods besides Allah-- do you desire? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the Worlds?" 87 Then he looked up at the stars (they worshipped), 88 and he said, 'Surely I am sick.' 89 But they turned their backs and went away from him. 90 Then he turned towards their gods and said: "Why do you not eat (of these offerings)? 91 What aileth ye that ye speak not? 92 then he turned on them, striking them down with his right hand. 93 Then the people came toward him, hastening. 94 He said, “What! You worship what you yourselves have sculpted?” 95 and God created you and what you make?' 96 They said: Build for him a building and fling him in the red-hotfire. 97 They had contrived an evil plan against him, but We abased them all. 98 And [then] he said, "Indeed, I will go to [where I am ordered by] my Lord; He will guide me. 99 Lord, grant me a righteous son.” 100 And We gave him the glad tidings of a very gentle son (Ishmael). 101 And when he reached the age of traveling with him, he said: 'My son, while I was sleeping I saw that I shall slaughter (sacrifice) you, tell me what is your opinion' He replied: 'Father, do as you are ordered (by Allah). Allah willing, you shall find me one of those who are steadfast' 102 When both surrendered (to Allah's command) and Abraham flung the son down on his forehead, 103 And We called out to him: "O Abraham! 104 You have indeed shown the truth of the vision; surely thus do We reward the doers of good: 105 That was indeed a clear trial. 106 We ransomed his son with a great sacrifice 107 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 108 Peace be on Ibrahim. 109 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 110 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 111 Then We gave him the good tidings of Isaac, a Prophet, one of the righteous. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. Among their descendants are some who do good, but some who wrong themselves. 113
