3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah called to Us, and We are the Best to answer. 75 And We delivered him and his people from the Great Calamity, 76 And made his progeny to endure (on this earth); 77 and left for him among the later folk 78 'Peace be upon Noah among all the worlds' 79 As such We recompense the gooddoers, 80 he was truly one of Our faithful servants. 81 Then We drowned the others 82 ۞ And indeed, among his kind was Abraham, 83 he came to his Lord with a sound heart. 84 Recall what time he said unto his father and his people: What is it that ye worship? 85 Is it a falsehood-god beside Allah that ye desire? 86 What, then, do you think of the Sustainer of all the worlds?" 87 He looked up at the stars. 88 and he said, 'Surely I am sick.' 89 And they turned their backs on him and went away. (The pagans thought he would transmit the disease). 90 Then he turned to their gods, and said: 'What do you eat? 91 What is [wrong] with you that you do not speak?" 92 He struck them with his right hand. 93 Then came the others to him hastening. 94 He said, "How can you worship what you yourselves have carved 95 "But Allah has created you and your handwork!" 96 They said, “Construct a building (furnace) for him, and then cast him in the blazing fire!” 97 So they contrived a plot against him, but We made them abject. 98 And he said: verily I am going to my Lord who will guide me. 99 My Lord, grant me [a child] from among the righteous." 100 So We gave him the good news of a boy, possessing forbearance. 101 And when (his son) was old enough to walk with him, (Abraham) said: O my dear son, I have seen in a dream that I must sacrifice thee. So look, what thinkest thou? He said: O my father! Do that which thou art commanded. Allah willing, thou shalt find me of the steadfast. 102 When they had surrendered, and he flung him upon his brow, 103 And We called out to him: "O Abraham! 104 You have indeed shown the truth of the vision; surely thus do We reward the doers of good: 105 That was indeed a trying test. 106 And We ransomed him with a tremendous sacrifice, 107 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations (to come) in later times: 108 Peace be unto Abraham! 109 This is how We reward the virtuous. 110 truly, he was one of Our faithful servants. 111 And We gave him the glad tidings of Ishaque (Isaac) a Prophet from the righteous. 112 and We blessed him and Isaac, and from their offspring are some gooddoers, and others who clearly wronged themselves. 113
