3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah called for help. How blessed was the answer which he received. 75 And We rescued him and his household from the great calamity. 76 and caused his offspring to endure [on earth]; 77 And left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 78 "Peace be upon Noah throughout all the worlds!" 79 As such We recompense the gooddoers, 80 Surely he was of Our believing servants. 81 We drowned the rest. 82 ۞ Of his party was Abraham. 83 He turned to his Lord with a sound heart 84 and [thus] spoke to his father and his people: "What is it that you worship? 85 Is it falsehood [as] gods other than Allah you desire? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the Worlds' 87 Then he looked at the stars, looking up once, 88 and said, "Verily, I am sick [at heart]!" 89 So they turned away from him, and departed (for fear of the disease). 90 Then he turned to their gods, and said: 'What do you eat? 91 What is the matter with you, why do you not speak?” 92 Then he started striking them down with his right hand. 93 whereupon people came to him running. 94 He said, 'Do you serve what you hew, 95 even though God created both you and that which you have made?" 96 They said: "Build for him a building (it is said that the building was like a furnace) and throw him into the blazing fire!" 97 So they plotted a plot against him, but We made them the lowest. 98 And he said: verily I am going to my Lord who will guide me. 99 Lord, grant me a righteous son." 100 Wherefore We gave him the glad tidings of a boy gentle. 101 And when (his son) was old enough to walk with him, (Abraham) said: O my dear son, I have seen in a dream that I must sacrifice thee. So look, what thinkest thou? He said: O my father! Do that which thou art commanded. Allah willing, thou shalt find me of the steadfast. 102 When they had surrendered, and he flung him upon his brow, 103 We called unto him, 'Abraham, 104 you have fulfilled what you were commanded to do in your dream." Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 105 This is indeed the manifest trial.' 106 So, We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 And We left for him among the posterity: 108 Peace be on Ibrahim. 109 Thus, do We reward the righteous ones. 110 for he was truly one of our believing servants. 111 And We gave him good tidings of Isaac, a prophet from among the righteous. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. But among their descendants is the doer of good and the clearly unjust to himself. 113
