3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
(In the days of old), Noah cried to Us, and We are the best to hear prayer. 75 And We rescued him and his family from the great distress (i.e. drowning), 76 And, his progeny, them We made the survivors (i.e. Shem, Ham and Japheth). 77 and We left him thus to be remembered among later generations: 78 "Peace be upon Noah throughout all the worlds!" 79 That is how We recompense the righteous: 80 he was among Our believing servants. 81 Afterwards We drowned the others. 82 ۞ Abraham was one of his followers. 83 When he came to his Lord with a pure heart [attached to Allah Alone and none else, worshipping none but Allah Alone true Islamic Monotheism, pure from the filth of polytheism]. 84 Recall what time he said unto his father and his people: What is it that ye worship? 85 “What! You desire, through fabrication, Gods other than Allah?” 86 What do you think of the Lord of the Worlds?" 87 The people invited him to attend their feast). Then he looked at the stars 88 and he said, 'Surely I am sick.' 89 And they turned their backs and went away from him. 90 He then sneaked upon their deities and said, “Do you not eat?” 91 Why do you not speak?" 92 Then did he turn upon them, striking (them) with the right hand. 93 So the disbelievers came running towards him. 94 He said, 'Do you serve what you hew, 95 while it is Allah Who has created you and all that you make?” 96 They said: build for him a building and cast him into the flaming fire. 97 So they tried to execute their evil scheme upon him We therefore degraded them. (Allah saved him, by commanding the fire to turn cool). 98 He said: "I will go to my Lord! He will surely guide me! 99 Lord, grant me a righteous son.” 100 We therefore gave him the glad tidings of an intelligent son. 101 When his son was old enough to work with him, he said, "My son, I have had a dream that I must sacrifice you. What do you think of this?" He replied, "Father, fulfill whatever you are commanded to do and you will find me patient, by the will of God". 102 Then, when they had both submitted themselves (to the Will of Allah), and he had laid him prostrate on his forehead (or on the side of his forehead for slaughtering); 103 We called out to him "O Abraham! 104 "Thou hast already fulfilled the vision!" - thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 105 Indeed, this was the clear trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a momentous sacrifice: 107 and left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among later generations: 108 Peace be on Ibrahim. 109 Thus do We reward the good. 110 he was among Our believing servants. 111 We gave him the glad news of the birth of Isaac, one of the righteous Prophets. 112 And We showered Our blessings on him and on Ishaq; and of their offspring are the doers of good, and (also) those who are clearly unjust to their own souls. 113
