And Noah had certainly called Us, and [We are] the best of responders. 75 We saved him and his people from the great distress, 76 And made his seed the survivors, 77 And We left for him among the posterity. 78 Peace on Noah among all men. 79 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 80 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 81 Then afterwards We drowned the rest. 82 ۞ And indeed Ibrahim is from his (Nooh’s) group. 83 When he came to his Lord with a heart compliant, 84 [And] when he said to his father and his people, "What do you worship? 85 Is it a calumny, gods apart from God, that you desire? 86 What is then your idea about the Lord of the worlds? 87 He looked up at the stars. 88 and said, "Verily, I am sick [at heart]!" 89 So turning their backs, they went away from him. 90 Then he slipped unto their gods and said: eat ye not? 91 Why do you not speak?" 92 He then began striking them with his right hand, unseen by the people. 93 Then they (the worshippers of idols) came, towards him, hastening. 94 He said, "Do you worship that which you [yourselves] carve, 95 the while it is God who has created you and all your handiwork?" 96 They said, "Build a pyre for him and throw him into the blaze!" 97 Their desire was to outwit him, but We made them to be the humiliated. 98 Abraham said: “I am going to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 “My Lord! Give me a meritorious child.” 100 We gave him the good news that he would have a patient, forbearing son. 101 And when he reached the age of traveling with him, he said: 'My son, while I was sleeping I saw that I shall slaughter (sacrifice) you, tell me what is your opinion' He replied: 'Father, do as you are ordered (by Allah). Allah willing, you shall find me one of those who are steadfast' 102 When both surrendered (to Allah's command) and Abraham flung the son down on his forehead, 103 We called out to him, "Abraham, 104 you have confirmed your vision' As such We recompense the gooddoers. 105 For this was obviously a trial- 106 And We ransomed him with a momentous sacrifice: 107 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations (to come) in later times: 108 Salamun (peace) be upon Ibrahim (Abraham)!" 109 Thus do We reward the doers of good. 110 He was one of Our believing worshipers. 111 So We gave him the good news of Isaac, apostle, who is among the righteous. 112 We had blessed him and Isaac. Some of their offspring were righteous and others were openly unjust to themselves. 113
