3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And Nuh did certainly call upon Us, and most excellent answerer of prayer are We. 75 And We rescued him and his family from the great distress (i.e. drowning), 76 And made his seed the survivors, 77 And left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations to come in later times: 78 Peace on Noah among all men. 79 That is how We reward those who do good. 80 he was among Our believing servants. 81 Then We drowned the others. 82 ۞ AND, BEHOLD, of his persuasion was Abraham, too, 83 He turned to his Lord with a sound heart 84 "Behold!" he said to his father and to his people, "What are these that you worship? 85 Is it falsehood [as] gods other than Allah you desire? 86 what, then, is your opinion of the Lord of the worlds? 87 Then he cast a glance at the stars (to deceive them), 88 And said, "I am sick," 89 So they turned away from him, and departed (for fear of the disease). 90 He turned to their gods and said, "Do you not eat? 91 What is amiss with you that you do not speak?" 92 And he turned upon them smiting them with his right hand. 93 So they (people) advanced towards him, hastening. 94 He said, "How can you worship what you yourselves have carved 95 the while it is God who has created you and all your handiwork?" 96 They said, “Construct a building (furnace) for him, and then cast him in the blazing fire!” 97 They had contrived an evil plan against him, but We abased them all. 98 And [then] he said, "Indeed, I will go to [where I am ordered by] my Lord; He will guide me. 99 My Lord! Bestow on me a son who will be of the righteous. 100 So We gave him the good news of a clement son. 101 And [one day,] when [the child] had become old enough to share in his [father's] endeavours, the latter said: "O my dear son! I have seen in a dream that I should sacrifice thee: consider, then, what would be thy view!" [Ishmael] answered: "O my father! Do as thou art bidden: thou wilt find me, if God so wills, among those who are patient in adversity!" 102 When they both agreed and Abraham had lain down his son on the side of his face (for slaughtering), 103 We called to him, saying: 'O Abraham, 104 thou hast confirmed the vision; even so We recompense the good-doers. 105 Most surely this is a manifest trial. 106 We ransomed him with a great sacrifice, 107 And We perpetuated (praise) to him among the later generations. 108 'Peace be upon Abraham!' 109 Thus do We reward the doers of good. 110 Verily he was one of Our believing bondmen. 111 So We gave him the good news of Isaac, apostle, who is among the righteous. 112 We had blessed him and Isaac. Some of their offspring were righteous and others were openly unjust to themselves. 113
