And We did certainly confer favor upon Moses and Aaron. 114 And We saved them and their people from the great distress; 115 And We helped them, so they were victorious. 116 and We gave them the Clear Book, 117 and showed them the Straight Way, 118 and perpetuated their praise in later generations. 119 "Peace upon Moses and Aaron." 120 This is how We reward the virtuous. 121 Verily! They were two of Our believing slaves. 122 And verily, Iliyas (Elias) was one of the Messengers. 123 when he said to his people, 'Will you not be godfearing? 124 Do you call upon Baal and forsake the Best of the Creators? 125 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your fathers of yore? 126 They denied him, and will surely be brought to punishment, 127 except the sincere worshipers of Allah. 128 And We perpetuated to him (praise) among the later generations. 129 "Peace upon Elias." 130 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 131 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 132 And Lut was most surely of the apostles. 133 We saved him and all his kinsmen, 134 except for an old woman who remained behind. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 And lo! ye verily pass by (the ruin of) them in the morning 137 And at night; do you not then understand? 138
