We also bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron: 114 And saved them and their people from the great distress, 115 And We helped them, so that they were the victors; 116 and We gave them the Clear Book, 117 And We guided them on the straight path. 118 and We left them thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among later generations: 119 "Peace upon Moses and Aaron." 120 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 121 They were among Our believing worshipers. 122 And Ilyas was most surely of the apostles. 123 When he said to his people: Do you not guard (against evil)? 124 What! do you call upon Ba'l and forsake the best of the creators, 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients' 126 but they rejected him, and thus will certainly be called to account; 127 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 128 We left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among the following generations -- 129 'Peace be upon El Yaseen' 130 In this way do We reward the righteous ones. 131 For he was one of our believing Servants. 132 And indeed, Lot was among the messengers. 133 when We delivered him and his people all together, 134 Save an old woman among those who stayed behind; 135 and We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by their ruins morning 137 And at night-time; have ye then no sense? 138
