We also favored Moses and Aaron 114 And We delivered them both and their people from the mighty distress. 115 and We helped them, so that they were victorious; 116 And We bestowed the clear Book to both of them. 117 and guided them in the straight path, 118 And We left for them (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times; 119 Peace be upon Moses and Aaron. 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 truly they were among Our faithful servants. 122 And indeed, Elias was from among the messengers, 123 Behold, he said to his people, "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 124 “What! You worship Baal (an idol) and leave the Best Creator?” – 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients?' 126 And they denied him, so indeed, they will be brought [for punishment], 127 excepting only [those who were] God's true servants; 128 and him We left thus to be remembered among later generations: 129 "Peace be upon Elijah and his followers!" 130 That is how We reward those who do good. 131 He was among Our believing worshipers. 132 Verily Lot was one of the apostles, 133 when We delivered him and his people all together, 134 Except an old woman (his wife) who was among those who remained behind. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 And most surely you pass by them in the morning, 137 And by night: will ye not understand? 138
