We were indeed gracious to Moses and Aaron, 114 We saved them and their people from great distress; 115 And We helped them, so they were the vanquishers. 116 We gave them the explicit Book, 117 and showed them the Straight Way, 118 and We left them thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among later generations: 119 'Peace be upon Moses and, Aaron!' 120 This is how We reward the virtuous. 121 They were among Our believing worshipers. 122 And Ilyas was most surely of the apostles. 123 He asked his people: 'Do you not fear (Allah)? 124 “What! You worship Baal (an idol) and leave the Best Creator?” – 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients?' 126 In response they denied him, so they will surely be brought forth as captives. 127 except Allah's chosen servants. 128 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 129 Salamun (peace) be upon Ilyasin (Elias)!" 130 It is thus indeed that We reward those who do good: 131 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 132 And verily, Lout (Lot) was one of the Messengers. 133 When We saved him and his family, all, 134 except an old woman who was among those that stayed behind; 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by their ruins morning 137 and night: will you not take heed? 138
