And We did certainly confer favor upon Moses and Aaron. 114 And delivered them and their people from the great affliction. 115 And helped them, so that they became the victors; 116 And We gave them the divine writ that made [right and wrong] distinct, 117 and guided them to the straight path; 118 and preserved for them a good name among posterity. 119 'Peace be upon Moses and Aaron' 120 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 121 truly they were among Our faithful servants. 122 And indeed Ilyas is one of the Noble Messengers. 123 when he said to his people, 'Will you not be godfearing? 124 Do you call on Ba'lan (the idol Baal) and abandon the Best Creator, 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients' 126 But they denied him [Iliyas (Elias)], so they will certainly be brought forth (to the punishment), 127 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 128 And We left for him among the posterity: 129 "Peace and salutation to such as Elias!" 130 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 131 He is truly among Our faithful devotees. 132 And Lot too was one of the Messengers. 133 [and so,] when [We decreed the doom of his sinful town,] We saved him and his household, 134 save an old woman among those that tarried; 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 Verily, you pass by them in the morning. 137 Or at night. Then how is it you do not understand? 138
