And, indeed We gave Our Grace to Musa (Moses) and Harun (Aaron). 114 and We delivered them and their people from the great distress. 115 And We succoured them so that they became overcomers. 116 And We gave them the explicit Scripture, 117 and guided them upon the Straight Path. 118 And We perpetuated (praise) to them among the later generations. 119 Peace be on Musa and Haroun. 120 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 121 truly they were among Our faithful servants. 122 So also was Elias among those sent (by Us). 123 when he spoke [thus] to his people: "Will you not remain conscious of God? 124 “What! You worship Baal (an idol) and leave the Best Creator?” – 125 "Allah, your Lord and Cherisher and the Lord and Cherisher of your fathers of old?" 126 But they called him a liar, therefore they shall most surely be brought up. 127 except the sincere servants of God. 128 We left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among the following generations -- 129 Peace be with the followers of Elias. 130 Verily, thus do We reward the doers of good 131 For he was one of our believing Servants. 132 And Lot too was one of the Messengers. 133 When We saved him and his family, all, 134 Except his wife among those who remained [with the evildoers]. 135 and We destroyed the others. 136 and, verily, [to this day] you pass by the remnants of their dwellings at morning-time 137 And during the night; so do you not have sense? 138
