And We indeed did a great favour to Moosa and Haroon. 114 and We delivered both of them and their people from the great calamity. 115 And We supported them so it was they who overcame. 116 And We gave them the divine writ that made [right and wrong] distinct, 117 And guided them to the Right Path; 118 And We left (this blessing) for them among generations (to come) in later times: 119 Peace be on Moses and Aaron. 120 That is how We reward those who do good. 121 They were among Our believing worshipers. 122 And verily, Iliyas (Elias) was one of the Messengers. 123 Recall what time he said unto his people: fear ye not? 124 "Will you call upon Ba'l (a well- known idol of his nation whom they used to worship) and forsake the Best of creators, 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients' 126 But they denied him [Iliyas (Elias)], so they will certainly be brought forth (to the punishment), 127 Except the chosen creatures of God. 128 And we left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 129 Peace be unto Elyasin. 130 It is thus indeed that We reward those who do good: 131 For he was one of our believing Servants. 132 Verily Lot was one of the apostles, 133 When We delivered him and his followers, all-- 134 except for an old woman who remained behind. 135 and then We utterly destroyed the others: 136 And surely ye pass by them in the morning. 137 And at night-time; have ye then no sense? 138
