And We verily gave grace unto Moses and Aaron, 114 and saved them and their people from great distress. 115 and We helped them, so that they were victorious; 116 And We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 And showed them the right path. 118 and perpetuated their praise in later generations. 119 Peace be on Musa and Haroun. 120 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 121 Indeed they are two of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 122 AND, BEHOLD, Elijah [too] was indeed one of Our message-bearers 123 when he said to his people, 'Will you not be godfearing? 124 Would you call on Baal and leave the best of creators, 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your ancestors of yore.” 126 They denied him, and will surely be brought to punishment, 127 excepting only [those who were] God's true servants; 128 And We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon him in the latter (generations), 129 'Peace be upon Elias!' 130 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 131 He is truly among Our faithful devotees. 132 And verily Lut was of the sent ones. 133 When We delivered him and his followers, all-- 134 except an old woman who lingered, 135 then We destroyed the others, 136 And lo! ye verily pass by (the ruin of) them in the morning 137 And by night: will ye not understand? 138
