We certainly bestowed Our favor upon Moses and Aaron 114 And We saved them and their people from the great affliction, 115 And We supported them so it was they who overcame. 116 We granted them a Clear Book, 117 And We led the twain on unto the straight path. 118 And We perpetuated (praise) to them among the later generations. 119 "Peace and salutation to Moses and Aaron!" 120 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 121 truly they were among Our faithful servants. 122 Elias was certainly a Messenger. 123 He told his people, "Why do you not have fear of God? 124 "Will ye call upon Baal and forsake the Best of Creators,- 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients?' 126 Then they belied him, so verily they are to be brought up. 127 except Allah's chosen servants. 128 We left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among the following generations -- 129 Peace be upon Elias. 130 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers, who perform good deeds totally for Allah's sake only - see V. 2:112). 131 Lo! he is one of our believing slaves. 132 AND, BEHOLD, Lot was indeed one of Our message-bearers; 133 (Call to mind) when We delivered him and all his kinsfolk, 134 Except an old woman (his wife) who was among those who remained behind. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 and you pass by them in the morning 137 and by night. Will you not, then, use your reason? 138
