And, indeed We gave Our Grace to Musa (Moses) and Harun (Aaron). 114 And rescued them and their people from the great calamity. 115 And We helped them, so they overcame (their troubles); 116 And We gave them the divine writ that made [right and wrong] distinct, 117 And showed them the straight path, 118 and perpetuated their praise in later generations. 119 Peace be unto Musa and Harun. 120 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 121 truly they were among Our faithful servants. 122 And lo! Elias was of those sent (to warn), 123 When he said unto his folk: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 124 Will ye cry unto Baal and forsake the Best of creators, 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients?' 126 But they gave him the lie: and therefore they will most surely be arraigned [on Judgment Day,] 127 except Allah's chosen servants. 128 And We left for him among the posterity: 129 "Peace and salutation to such as Elias!" 130 Even thus do We reward the doers of good. 131 surely he was one of Our believing servants. 132 AND, BEHOLD, Lot was indeed one of Our message-bearers; 133 [and so,] when [We decreed the doom of his sinful town,] We saved him and his household, 134 except for an old woman who stayed behind, 135 Then We totally destroyed the others. 136 And indeed you pass over them in the morning. – 137 And by night: will ye not understand? 138
