We also bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron: 114 And rescued them and their people from the great calamity. 115 And We succoured them so that they became overcomers. 116 And We bestowed the clear Book to both of them. 117 And We led the twain on unto the straight path. 118 and perpetuated their praise in later generations. 119 "Peace and salutation to Moses and Aaron!" 120 This is how We reward those who do good: 121 for those two were truly among Our believing servants. 122 Elijah too was one of the messengers. 123 When he said to his people: Do you not guard (against evil)? 124 “What! You worship Baal (an idol) and leave the Best Creator?” – 125 God your Lord and Lord of your forefathers?" 126 But they called him a liar, therefore they shall most surely be brought up. 127 Except the bondmen of Allah sincere. 128 And We left his (memory) for posterity. 129 Peace be upon Ilyas! 130 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 131 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 132 And lo! Lot verily was of those sent (to warn). 133 We saved him and all his people, 134 Except an old woman (his wife) who was among those who remained behind. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 Verily, you pass by them in the morning. 137 and at night. Will you then not understand? 138
