And We did certainly confer favor upon Moses and Aaron. 114 And rescued them and their people from the great calamity. 115 And We supported them so it was they who overcame. 116 We gave them the enlightening Book, 117 and guided them to the straight path; 118 And We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon on both of them in the latter (generations), 119 Peace be on Musa and Haroun. 120 Even thus do We reward the doers of good. 121 Verily the twain were of Our bondmen believing. 122 Verily Elias is one of the apostles. 123 Behold, he said to his people, "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 124 Do you call on Ba'lan (the idol Baal) and abandon the Best Creator, 125 "Allah, your Lord and Cherisher and the Lord and Cherisher of your fathers of old?" 126 But they gave him the lie: and therefore they will most surely be arraigned [on Judgment Day,] 127 except Allah's chosen servants. 128 and him We left thus to be remembered among later generations: 129 "Peace be upon Elijah and his followers!" 130 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers, who perform good deeds totally for Allah's sake only - see V. 2:112). 131 He was one of Our believing servants. 132 So also was Lut among those sent (by Us). 133 We saved him and all his kinsmen, 134 save an old woman among those that tarried; 135 Then We annihilated the others. 136 You pass by (their ruined town) in the morning 137 And at night; do you not then understand? 138
