We also favored Moses and Aaron 114 And We saved them and their people from the great affliction, 115 and We helped them, so that they were victorious; 116 And We gave them both the Book that made (things) clear. 117 And showed them the right path. 118 And We left for them among the later folk (the salutation): 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 Surely they were both of Our believing servants. 122 Verily Elias is one of the apostles. 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not fear Allah? 124 “What! You worship Baal (an idol) and leave the Best Creator?” – 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers?" 126 But they denied him, so they surely will be haled forth (to the doom) 127 except the sincere worshipers of Allah. 128 And We left for him among the posterity: 129 "Peace and salutation to such as Elias!" 130 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 131 For he was one of our believing Servants. 132 And Lot too was one of the Messengers. 133 (Call to mind) when We delivered him and all his kinsfolk, 134 Except his wife among those who remained [with the evildoers]. 135 Then We destroyed the rest [i.e. the towns of Sodom at the place of the Dead Sea (now) in Palestine].
