Al-Saaffaat 4 of 5
We were indeed gracious to Moses and Aaron, 114 And We delivered them both and their people from the mighty distress. 115 and succoured them, so that [in the end] it was they who achieved victory. 116 And We gave them the clear Scripture 117 and guided them to the straight path; 118 and preserved for them a good name among posterity. 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 Even thus do We reward the doers of good. 121 They were two of Our believing servants. 122 Surely, Elias too was among the Messengers. 123 When he said to his people: Do you not guard (against evil)? 124 Call ye upon Bal and forsake the Best of creators. 125 “Allah – Who is your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?” 126 They called him a liar. Thus, all of them will suffer torment 127 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 128 We left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among the following generations -- 129 "Peace be upon Elijah and his followers!" 130 In this way do We reward the righteous ones. 131 He was one of Our believing servants. 132 And Lut was most surely of the apostles. 133 We rescued him and his whole family, 134 except for an old woman who was among those that stayed behind. 135 We then destroyed the others. 136 You pass by their ruins morning 137 Or at night. Then how is it you do not understand? 138
