We also bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron: 114 And We delivered them both and their people from the mighty distress. 115 We succoured them, and they gained the upper hand (against their enemies). 116 And We gave them the clear Scripture; 117 And showed them the straight path, 118 and We left them thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among later generations: 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 121 Surely they were both of Our believing servants. 122 And verily, Iliyas (Elias) was one of the Messengers. 123 He asked his people: 'Do you not fear (Allah)? 124 What! do you call upon Ba'l and forsake the best of the creators, 125 who is your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?" 126 But they denounced him as a liar, so they will surely be arraigned (for punishment), 127 Except the bondmen of Allah sincere. 128 And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 129 "Peace be upon Elijah and his followers!" 130 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 131 He was one of Our believing servants. 132 AND, BEHOLD, Lot was indeed one of Our message-bearers; 133 [and so,] when [We decreed the doom of his sinful town,] We saved him and his household, 134 Except an old woman who was one of those who stayed behind. 135 and then We utterly destroyed the others: 136 You pass by them in the morning 137 And at night-time; have ye then no sense? 138
