Again (of old) We bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron, 114 And rescued them and their people from the great calamity. 115 And We helped them, so that they were the victors; 116 And We gave them the divine writ that made [right and wrong] distinct, 117 and guided them to the straight path; 118 and left for them among the later folk 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 Indeed they are two of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 122 And verily, llyas was one of the sent ones. 123 He asked his people: 'Do you not fear (Allah)? 124 "Will ye call upon Baal and forsake the Best of Creators,- 125 God your Lord and Lord of your forefathers?" 126 But they rejected him, and they will certainly be called up (for punishment),- 127 excepting only [those who were] God's true servants; 128 And We left his (memory) for posterity. 129 Peace be upon Ilyas! 130 That is how We reward those who do good. 131 He was one of Our believing servants. 132 And indeed, Lot was among the messengers. 133 We saved him and all his people, 134 Except an old woman who was among those who lagged behind: 135 and then We utterly destroyed the others: 136 And indeed, you pass by them in the morning 137 And at night; will you not then reflect? 138
