And We indeed did a great favour to Moosa and Haroon. 114 And We delivered them and their people from (their) Great Calamity; 115 We succoured them, and they gained the upper hand (against their enemies). 116 And We gave them the clear Scripture; 117 and guided them in the straight path, 118 And We left for them among the later folk (the salutation): 119 'Peace be upon Moses and Aaron' 120 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 121 they were among Our believing servants. 122 Elijah too was one of the messengers. 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not fear Allah? 124 Do you worship Ba`al and abandon the Best Creator. 125 "Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?" 126 But they gave him the lie: and therefore they will most surely be arraigned [on Judgment Day,] 127 But not the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 128 And We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon him in the latter (generations), 129 "Peace be upon Elijah and his followers!" 130 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 131 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 132 Lot was also one of the messengers. 133 Behold, We delivered him and his adherents, all 134 Save an old woman among the lingerers. 135 then We destroyed the others, 136 You pass by them in the morning 137 And at night-time; have ye then no sense? 138
