THUS, INDEED, did We bestow Our favour upon Moses and Aaron; 114 And We saved them and their people from the great distress; 115 And We helped them, so they were victorious. 116 and We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 and guided them to the straight path; 118 And We perpetuated (praise) to them among the later generations. 119 Peace be unto Moses and Aaron! 120 This is how We reward the virtuous. 121 For they were two of our believing Servants. 122 And Ilyas was most surely of the apostles. 123 (Call to mind) when he said to his people: “Will you not fear Allah? 124 Will ye cry unto Baal and forsake the Best of creators, 125 God your Lord and Lord of your forefathers?" 126 But they denied him [Iliyas (Elias)], so they will certainly be brought forth (to the punishment), 127 excepting only [those who were] God's true servants; 128 We left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among the following generations -- 129 Peace be on Ilyas. 130 It is thus indeed that We reward those who do good: 131 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 132 Lot too was one of the Envoys; 133 When We rescued him and his entire household. 134 save an old woman among those that tarried; 135 Then We destroyed the rest. 136 and, verily, [to this day] you pass by the remnants of their dwellings at morning-time 137 And at night. Will ye not therefore reflect? 138
