And We verily gave grace unto Moses and Aaron, 114 and We delivered both of them and their people from the great calamity. 115 And We succoured them so that they became overcomers. 116 And We gave them the divine writ that made [right and wrong] distinct, 117 and guided them the straight way, 118 and left for them among the later folk 119 Peace be with Moses and Aaron. 120 Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 121 Indeed, they were of Our believing servants. 122 Elijah too was one of the messengers. 123 He said to his people, "Have you no fear [of God?] 124 "Will ye call upon Baal and forsake the Best of Creators,- 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your ancestors of yore.” 126 In response they denied him, so they will surely be brought forth as captives. 127 Except the bondmen of Allah sincere. 128 We perpetuated his praise in the later generations. 129 'Peace be upon Elias!' 130 Verily, thus do We reward the doers of good 131 He was one of Our believing servants. 132 So also was Lut among those sent (by Us). 133 We saved him and all his kinsmen, 134 Except an old woman, who became of those who stayed behind. 135 Then We destroyed the rest [i.e. the towns of Sodom at the place of the Dead Sea (now) in Palestine].
