Verily We bestowed Our favours on Moses and Aaron 114 And saved them and their people from great distress, 115 And We succoured them so that they became overcomers. 116 and We gave them the Manifesting Book, 117 guided them to the right path, 118 And We perpetuated (praise) to them among the later generations. 119 Peace be on Musa and Haroun. 120 That is how We reward those who do good. 121 truly they were among Our faithful servants. 122 And Elias (El Yaseen) was among the Messengers. 123 When he said to his people: Do you not guard (against evil)? 124 Do you call on Baal and abandon the Best of Creators, 125 "Allah, your Lord and Cherisher and the Lord and Cherisher of your fathers of old?" 126 but they rejected him, and thus will certainly be called to account; 127 except Allah's chosen servants. 128 and We left for him among the later folk 129 "Peace and salutation to such as Elias!" 130 Even thus do We reward the doers of good. 131 He is truly among Our faithful devotees. 132 And Lut was most surely of the apostles. 133 We saved him and all his kinsmen, 134 Except his wife among those who remained [with the evildoers]. 135 Then We annihilated the others. 136 and, verily, [to this day] you pass by the remnants of their dwellings at morning-time 137 and by night. Will you not, then, use your reason? 138

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
