Al-Saaffaat 4 of 5
And assuredly We gave grace unto Musa and Harun. 114 We saved them and their people from great distress; 115 and succoured them, so that [in the end] it was they who achieved victory. 116 We gave them the explicit Book, 117 And We guided them both on the right way. 118 And We left (this blessing) for them among generations (to come) in later times: 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 Thus do We reward the doers of good 121 for those two were truly among Our believing servants. 122 Surely, Elias too was among the Messengers. 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not be mindful of God? 124 Do you worship Ba`al and abandon the Best Creator. 125 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your fathers of yore? 126 But they called him a liar, therefore they shall most surely be brought up. 127 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 128 And we left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 129 Salamun (peace) be upon Ilyasin (Elias)!" 130 It is thus indeed that We reward those who do good: 131 for he was truly one of Our believing servants! 132 AND, BEHOLD, Lot was indeed one of Our message-bearers; 133 We saved him and all his kinsmen, 134 Except an old woman (who was) amongst those who tarried. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 And most surely you pass by them in the morning, 137 Or at night. Then how is it you do not understand? 138

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
