We certainly bestowed Our favor upon Moses and Aaron 114 and We saved them and their people from the awesome calamity [of bondage,] 115 And We helped them, so they were victorious. 116 We gave them the enlightening Book, 117 And We guided them both on the right way. 118 And We left for them [favorable mention] among later generations: 119 Peace be on Moses and Aaron. 120 Even thus do We reward the doers of good. 121 Indeed they are two of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 122 Verily Elias is one of the apostles. 123 He asked his people: 'Do you not fear (Allah)? 124 Do you call on Baal and abandon the Best of Creators, 125 “Allah – Who is your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?” 126 But they denounced him as a liar, so they will surely be arraigned (for punishment), 127 except the sincere worshipers of Allah. 128 And We left his (memory) for posterity. 129 "Peace upon Elias." 130 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 131 for he was truly one of Our believing servants! 132 And Lot too was one of the Messengers. 133 [So mention] when We saved him and his family, all, 134 Except an old woman (who was) amongst those who tarried. 135 Then We destroyed the rest. 136 You pass by (their ruined town) in the morning 137 and in the night; will you not understand? 138
