We were indeed gracious to Moses and Aaron, 114 And We saved them and their people from the great affliction, 115 We succoured them, and they gained the upper hand (against their enemies). 116 We gave them the enlightening Book, 117 And guided them to the Right Path; 118 and left for them among the later folk 119 'Peace be upon Moses and, Aaron!' 120 Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 121 they were among Our believing servants. 122 AND, BEHOLD, Elijah [too] was indeed one of Our message-bearers 123 Behold, he said to his people, "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 124 Would you call on Baal and leave the best of creators, 125 God, your Sustainer and the Sustainer of your forebears of old?" 126 but they rejected him, and thus will certainly be called to account; 127 Except the bondmen of Allah sincere. 128 And We left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times; 129 "Peace be upon Elijah and his followers!" 130 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 131 for he was truly one of Our believing servants! 132 And lo! Lot verily was of those sent (to warn). 133 [So mention] when We saved him and his family, all, 134 except for an old woman who remained behind. 135 Then We destroyed the rest. 136 and, verily, [to this day] you pass by the remnants of their dwellings at morning-time 137 and in the night; will you not understand? 138
