We also favored Moses and Aaron 114 And rescued them and their people from the great calamity. 115 And We succoured them so that they became overcomers. 116 And We gave them the clear Scripture 117 And We guided them to the Straight Way. 118 and We left them thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among later generations: 119 'Peace be upon Moses and, Aaron!' 120 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 121 They are among Our faithful devotees. 122 And verily, Iliyas (Elias) was one of the Messengers. 123 When he said unto his folk: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 124 Will ye cry unto Baal and forsake the Best of creators, 125 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your fathers of yore? 126 But they called him a liar, therefore they shall most surely be brought up. 127 Except the sincere and devoted Servants of Allah (among them). 128 We perpetuated his praise in the later generations. 129 "Peace be on Elijah and his people!" 130 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 131 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 132 So also was Lut among those sent (by Us). 133 We saved him and all his people, 134 Except an old woman (who was) amongst those who tarried. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 and you pass by them in the morning 137 And at night. Will ye not therefore reflect? 138
