We also favoured Moses and Aaron, 114 And delivered them and their people from the great affliction. 115 And helped them, so that they became the victors; 116 And We gave them the divine writ that made [right and wrong] distinct, 117 And We guided them both on the right way. 118 And We perpetuated (praise) to them among the later generations. 119 Peace be upon Moses and Aaron. 120 This is how We reward the virtuous. 121 They are among Our faithful devotees. 122 Elias was certainly a Messenger. 123 When he said to his people, "Will you not fear Allah? 124 Do you call upon Ba'l and leave the best of creators - 125 "Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?" 126 But they gave him the lie: and therefore they will most surely be arraigned [on Judgment Day,] 127 except the sincere servants of God. 128 And We left his (memory) for posterity. 129 Peace be unto Elias! 130 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 131 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 132 AND, BEHOLD, Lot was indeed one of Our message-bearers; 133 When We rescued him and his entire household. 134 except for an old woman who stayed behind, 135 Then We destroyed the rest. 136 You pass by their ruins morning 137 and at night. Will you then not understand? 138
