Al-Saaffaat 4 of 5
Verily We bestowed Our favours on Moses and Aaron 114 And We saved them and their people from the great affliction, 115 And We helped them, so that they were the victors; 116 We gave them the explicit Book, 117 And showed them the right path. 118 And We left for them among the later folk (the salutation): 119 Peace be on Moses and Aaron. 120 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 121 For they were two of our believing Servants. 122 And indeed Ilyas is one of the Noble Messengers. 123 He told his people, "Why do you not have fear of God? 124 “What! You worship Baal (an idol) and leave the Best Creator?” – 125 who is your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?" 126 But they denied him, so they surely will be haled forth (to the doom) 127 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 128 We preserved a good name for him among posterity. 129 "Peace be upon Elijah and his followers!" 130 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 131 For he was one of our believing Servants. 132 And verily Lut was of the sent ones. 133 when We delivered him and his people all together, 134 Save an old woman among those who stayed behind; 135 and We destroyed the rest. 136 Verily, you pass by them in the morning. 137 and night: will you not take heed? 138
