We certainly bestowed Our favor upon Moses and Aaron 114 And saved them and their people from great distress, 115 And We helped them, so they were the vanquishers. 116 And We bestowed the clear Book to both of them. 117 And guided them to the Straight Path. 118 And left (their remembrance) for posterity. 119 Peace be upon Moses and Aaron. 120 This is how We reward the virtuous. 121 Surely they were both of Our believing servants. 122 And lo! Elias was of those sent (to warn), 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not fear Allah? 124 Do you worship Ba`al and abandon the Best Creator. 125 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your fathers of yore? 126 They called him a liar. Thus, all of them will suffer torment 127 except for God's sincere servants; 128 And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 129 "Peace upon Elias." 130 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 131 Verily he was one of Our bondmen believing. 132 Lot was also one of the messengers. 133 (Call to mind) when We delivered him and all his kinsfolk, 134 Except an old woman, who became of those who stayed behind. 135 Then We destroyed the rest [i.e. the towns of Sodom at the place of the Dead Sea (now) in Palestine]. [See the "Book of History" by Ibn Kathir]. 136 And most surely you pass by them in the morning, 137 And by night: will ye not understand? 138

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
