And certainly We conferred a favor on Musa and Haroun. 114 and We saved them and their people from the awesome calamity [of bondage,] 115 And We helped them, so that they were the victors; 116 And We vouchsafed unto the twain a Book luminous. 117 And showed them the straight path, 118 and perpetuated their praise in later generations. 119 Peace be unto Musa and Harun. 120 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 121 truly they were among Our faithful servants. 122 And Ilyas was most surely of the apostles. 123 He told his people, "Why do you not have fear of God? 124 Do you call on Baal and abandon the Best of Creators, 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients?' 126 They called him a liar. Thus, all of them will suffer torment 127 Except the chosen creatures of God. 128 And We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon him in the latter (generations), 129 "Peace upon Elias." 130 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 131 He was one of Our believing servants. 132 And verily Lut was of the sent ones. 133 Behold, We delivered him and his adherents, all 134 except an old woman who was among those that stayed behind; 135 Then We utterly destroyed the rest of them. 136 You pass by their ruins morning 137 And by night: will ye not understand? 138
