We also favored Moses and Aaron 114 and We delivered both of them and their people from the great calamity. 115 We helped them and they were victorious. 116 And We gave them the divine writ that made [right and wrong] distinct, 117 and showed them the Straight Way, 118 And We left (this blessing) for them among generations (to come) in later times: 119 Peace be on Musa and Haroun. 120 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 121 For they were two of our believing Servants. 122 Elijah too was one of the messengers. 123 when he spoke [thus] to his people: "Will you not remain conscious of God? 124 Do you call on Baal and abandon the Best of Creators, 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 But they denied him [Iliyas (Elias)], so they will certainly be brought forth (to the punishment), 127 Except the bondmen of Allah sincere. 128 And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 129 Peace be on Elias. 130 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 131 for he was truly one of Our believing servants! 132 And Lot too was one of the Messengers. 133 When We saved him and his family, all, 134 Except an old woman (who was) amongst those who tarried. 135 Then We annihilated the others. 136 You pass by them in the morning 137 And at night. Will ye not therefore reflect? 138
