We were indeed gracious to Moses and Aaron, 114 And We delivered them both and their people from the mighty distress. 115 And helped them, so they were victorious. 116 We gave them the enlightening Book, 117 And guided them to the Right Path; 118 and perpetuated their praise in later generations. 119 Peace be upon Moses and Aaron. 120 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 121 They are among Our faithful devotees. 122 Verily Elias is one of the apostles. 123 when he said to his people, 'Will you not be godfearing? 124 "Will ye call upon Baal and forsake the Best of Creators,- 125 "Allah, your Lord and Cherisher and the Lord and Cherisher of your fathers of old?" 126 But they denied him [Iliyas (Elias)], so they will certainly be brought forth (to the punishment), 127 except the sincere worshipers of Allah. 128 and We left for him among the later folk 129 Peace be upon Ilyas! 130 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 131 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 132 And indeed Lut is one of the Noble Messengers. 133 when We delivered him and his people all together, 134 Except an old woman (who was) amongst those who tarried. 135 and then We utterly destroyed the others: 136 You pass by their ruins morning 137 And at night-time; have ye then no sense? 138
