We also favored Moses and Aaron 114 And saved them and their people from great distress, 115 And We helped them, so they overcame (their troubles); 116 and We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 And We guided them on the straight path. 118 And left (their remembrance) for posterity. 119 Peace be unto Moses and Aaron! 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 Lo! they are two of Our believing slaves. 122 And verily, Iliyas (Elias) was one of the Messengers. 123 When he said unto his folk: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 124 Call ye upon Bal and forsake the Best of creators. 125 God, your Sustainer and the Sustainer of your forebears of old?" 126 But they cried him lies; so they will be among the arraigned, 127 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 128 We left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among the following generations -- 129 Peace be upon Elias. 130 Verily, thus do We reward the doers of good 131 he was among Our believing servants. 132 Lot too was one of the Envoys; 133 When We rescued him and his entire household. 134 Save an old woman among the lingerers. 135 Then We annihilated the others. 136 And indeed, you pass by them in the morning 137 And at night; will you not then reflect? 138

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
