Al-Saaffaat 4 of 5
We certainly bestowed Our favor upon Moses and Aaron 114 And We delivered them both and their people from the mighty distress. 115 and We helped them, so that they were victorious; 116 We granted them a Clear Book, 117 And guided them to the Right Path; 118 And We left (this blessing) for them among generations (to come) in later times: 119 Peace be upon Moosa and Haroon! 120 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 121 Lo! they are two of Our believing slaves. 122 And Ilyas was most surely of the apostles. 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not fear Allah? 124 Would you call on Baal and leave the best of creators, 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your ancestors of yore.” 126 And they denied him, so indeed, they will be brought [for punishment], 127 except the sincere servants of God. 128 And We perpetuated to him (praise) among the later generations. 129 "Peace be on Elijah and his people!" 130 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 131 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 132 And Lot too was one of the Messengers. 133 (Call to mind) when We delivered him and all his kinsfolk, 134 Except an old woman (his wife) who was among those who remained behind. 135 Then We destroyed the rest. 136 And lo! ye verily pass by (the ruin of) them in the morning 137 and at night. Do you still not understand? 138
